Hello! And welcome to Talechasing! I'm Lauren, who is bored and was hoping to upload stories on Elfwood in order to finally activate her account...only to find that it's down. Nice to see another writer around! It's been awfully quiet in the community over the last few weeks...
I shall hop back to my own scribbling and stop bothering you, now ;)
Glad to meet you! I'm just getting started here so it's quite confusing trying to figure out where everything is ... elfwood seems so much simpler, but I know that at one point I found it just as confusing as here. Hopefully it'll end up coming back online soon ... these delays are killing me writing wise, I'm going to have a huge backlog of stories waiting to go onto my next ticket, not to mention updates for changes I've already made to existing ones. *sigh* Such is the price though. What made you decide to join elfwood?
Don't worry, you weren't bothering me. I was just taking a break from my own writing while looking at optical illusions. Heh, if I become half as active on here as I am on EW, you will be wishing I stayed away. When you finally are able to get your stories up, gimme a nudge and I'll come over and visit :D. Maybe I'll even be able to scoop first comment dance. Heh, happy writings!
*grins* Elfwood? Simple? I think it took me two months to gather the courage to do the ‘test’! I don’t think livejournal is much more complicated, although it likes eating entries every now and then. Writing things in Word first seems like a good idea now...
I found Elfwood through a friend, who seems to have left it a while ago :( It looks like a great community, though, and I thought it might be a good time to meet some people who actually like writing. Up until about a year ago, I used to spend copious amounts of time ogling at the lovely artwork and stories and pushing the ‘random’ button. School is trying to strangle me these days. (It’s Spring Break, at the moment).
Ah...the queue...maybe you could upload the new stuff first, then the old, revised ones? Or are the old things more in need of feedback (and has readers hanging off the edge of a cliff)? Upload a bit of both (old and new) at the same time?
Think I've babbled enough...must get back to editing my talechasing entry...
